Beware, love isn’t lust and lust isn’t love

We soon discover that real-deal love is a lot more than jumping into bed with someone. It might look the way to go in the movies, but it could turn your life into a nightmare from a sexually transmitted infection or worse! Lust can end up like a Weapon of Mass Destruction.

The way love is portrayed in our culture through books, TV shows, movies and sex shops to name a few, can be seen as yet another weapon of mass destruction. The high number of broken relationships is enough evidence that we’re off track.

Lust eventually kills ya on the inside but real love flies you to the moon forever.

If you think love comes from the ‘girlie’ ads in the back section of the newspaper, or from the adult shop or internet porn star, you are going to miss the gold. Facebook can be a killer if an old flame comes after you – beware!

Sometimes we blokes think this would never happen to us – but it does. Plenty of blokes can tell their stories of being lured into the den of promises by the woman down the road only to find out that they were sold a dummy. Fellas, have a look at this, from the Work Manual:

Remember this: The lips of a seductress seem sweet like honey, and her smooth words are like music in your ears. But I promise you this: In the end all you’ll be left with is a bitter conscience. But take heart, even the consequences of this are healable with a spiritual cleanout of your heart. Go for real love that is deep and lifegiving.

In learning the difference between love and lust there will be times when you have to turn and walk – or run – away from unhealthy lust or porn or any dodgy sex – and don’t go back. You soon come to know that lust kills you on the inside and love gives you life.

Fellas, we are the maker or breaker of our love future.
