Dreams can keep you going through tough times

My identical twin nephews Peter and David are better known to many as Peebo and Dagwood the clowns. These two champions were born with the genetic condition cystic fibrosis (CF) which affects the lungs and digestion.

Every day of their lives has been a health battle with strict diets and countless hospital visits. They tried to hold down full-time jobs, but their health demands made that impossible. So they adjusted their dreams and are in high demand as professional clowns.

Five years ago they were grateful to receive lifesaving double lung transplants. Against the odds they are still living their dream at 39, giving laughter and hope to people of all ages. They have a champion saying that I love: ‘Living the dream and licking the cream’.

They make the most of every part of life, and really enjoy the special bits that are like the cream on a cake, or the froth on a super-cappuccino. They make me want to reignite my own dream, and I hope their story inspires you too!
