Tell dream-makers your dream
It’s OK to dream your dreams – and don’t be shy. Tell others about it.
So many blokes are dealing with depression and anxiety and loneliness, because they’re isolated from other blokes. When men get together for the right reasons in a good safe place, something happens that’s just amazing. It energises and it sticks, and it helps you to ignite your dream.
Through Shed Happens, I’ve seen thousands of men being transformed by being able to talk out the gut issues with other blokes. Every week around Australia, men meet in sheds and encourage each other (you can find one near you at shednight.com). It’s a safe, non-judgemental place. They get a new life and identity in who they are and what they do, and they fly into champion living. They can once again dream healthy dreams.
At shed groups, I see the ‘great Aussie bloke’ enjoying and attacking life, and becoming more real in who he was created to be.
As men start to get their dreams back, I see excitement and energy coming out of them. It’s a joy that comes from deep within. A lot of men have been judged or ignored or brushed off. When you spend the time to ask them how their heart’s going and they know they’re in a safe place, great things can happen. Dreams begin to live.
